Bleaching (tooth whitening)
Beautiful white Hollywood smile
Bleaching is the structural whitening of the individual tooth color. A distinction can be made between bleaching in the dental practice with a highly concentrated whitening gel and significantly weaker home bleaching.
How does the treatment work?
The gums are carefully covered by a special plastic layer to protect them perfectly. The patented gel is then applied to the teeth and activated with a gentle blue light. You therefore wear transparent protective goggles during the session. In contrast to conventional whitening methods, gums and sensitive tooth surfaces are particularly protected by the short treatment duration. After just 10 minutes, the gel is removed by suction and a desensitizing agent (DESENS) is then applied if medically necessary. In some cases, a separate professional tooth cleaning is advisable beforehand. Incidentally, several cycles may sometimes be necessary to achieve the desired radiant smile.
The follow-up treatment
The system with its precisely coordinated components is particularly effective and only takes a few minutes for a perfect result. Although the whitening gel dissolves the natural (saliva) protective layer of the teeth during application, this layer is naturally rebuilt within 1-2 hours after the treatment. However, to maintain the perfect result in the long term and to professionally care for the teeth after the treatment, we recommend “Toothmousse” from GC or other applications for post-treatment.
Technology
The system used with its coordinated components is a particularly safe and gentle method. It works with a particularly gentle blue light (420-520nm), which, in contrast to other methods, reduces the whitening process to just 10 minutes in most cases.
